Event Details:

A free presentation is being offered by the Prevention of Senior Abuse Network - Simcoe County. Presenters will discuss topics related to assessing competence to manage financial affairs.

Information presented will include:

• How do you define capacity and competence?
• What is the difference between legal capacity and medical capacity, how is this assessed, who can assess, is there a cost? 
• Can people with cognitive impairment maintain their autonomy, when should you intervene, who can help with this process?

The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session.

Refreshments will be offered.  Registration is not required. Please feel free to drop-in at anytime.
