If you pay your water/sewer bill or your tax bill at your bank, whether in person, using online apps, or at a bank machine, please update your account numbers. Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie is proud to announce a free, nine-week Breakfast Club workshop series designed to help women gain the skills, confidence, and resources they need to thrive in their career journeys.
The program will run every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Sept. 11 through Nov. 6, at the Orillia Public Library.
This program is open to women who are unemployed, under-employed, or actively seeking work, including:
Women re-entering the workforce after a career break
Women transitioning to new careers
Women from underrepresented communities
Women exploring entrepreneurship
The Breakfast Club workshops cover a range of topics, including goal setting, mock interviews, communication skills, career stepping stones, confidence building, mental health and self-care while job searching. The final week features free hair and a makeover and a professional headshot to showcase their professionalism and confidence.
“Through Breakfast Club, we want to create a safe, supportive space for women to gain practical tools, grow their confidence, and connect with others on a similar journey,” says Rosie Williams, volunteer manager at Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie. “We believe that when women are empowered, communities thrive.”
Registration is now open. For more information or to register, please contact Rosie Williams at rosie@dfsorilliabarrie.org or 705-259-8200.
